Cover Story

Dark matter has been evidenced by numerous astrophysical observations as the dominant component of matter in the Universe; however, its particle nature, such as mass and interactions, remains largely unknown. In recent years, the effective theory has been used in combination with symmetric principles to analyze all possible interactions. Wang et al. obtained constraints on the Wilson coefficients in these interactions based on the data set of CDEX-1B and CDEX-10. This cover illustrates the elastic scattering process between dark matter particles and nucleons in the germanium detector used in the CDEX experiment, as well as the corresponding effective operators (See the article (No. 281011) by Yi Wang et al.).
